🗣️ I've been trying to make art my full time job throughout all of my twenties and only now I'm starting to see actual results. I don't feel like I've wasted my time or anything, I just wish I was more serious about it and made it sooner.

- Art for me is part time as in I'm still doing a day job for security and even tho I'm getting more work as a freelancer I'm scared to quit and lose that stability.
But this also makes it very difficult to balance the two of them.

- I have a weird relationship with social media as right now is my main and only tool to find work. The only way new people can find me is by posting more, engaging, networking, being consistent and professional. I love doing it but at the same time it drains and distracts me from real life and I get competitive with other artists because even tho I try not to, I can't help but compare myself to others sometimes.

- Self sabotage is as real as self manifesting and there have been many times I've fallen behind because I've been too scared to actually try.
Every day is a constant back and forth between feeling inspired and not feeling good enough.

- I live in a constant fear of running out of time, of taking too long to finish a commission, of not having enough time to make the art I want, of falling behind in my art school, of not posting frequently enough.
I always want to do more and I constantly beat myself up because I can't. This causes a lot of stress.

But if there's one thing I can never do is quit. The more time goes by the more I realise just how much this is what I love doing the most in life and I've realised it's the only thing I always go back to, no matter what happens.

Some honest facts about me. I don't like to get too personal over here, but today I wanted to share some Sunday thoughts, maybe someone can relate 🧡🌸
